There seems to be a bit of a message coming through lately and that message was powerfully verbalised by the Amazing Oprah Winfrey on Saturday night. The message is Stand in Your Power and Shine, I am para-phrasing not quoting.
As I sat in the stadium with 20+ thousand other people I was stunned by the power of this amazing women, to stare adversity down and go onto inspire millions of women to be their best.
I align strongly with this message and it has been the message I have been working with for the last decade or so. It has never been more clear to me than it is right now, there is a fire in my belly that is calling me to be more, to do more and assist more.
Most recently I have been hearing stories of women who been broken or almost defeated by their adversity, it saddens me that the support and or the tools have not been available for these women to feel they have choice, hope and the ability to rise again.
Oprah shared the Invictus poem, which you can read or hear here http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/182194, the words that stand out though are “ I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul”, when we know this to the core of our being then we know we can change our lives.
I am ready and willing to stand more fully in my power and shine a brighter, how about you?
