Prompted by a training call I was on the other morning I was contemplating my decision making process and how quickly I make decisions or not and how much I second guess those decision?
Successful people make decisions quickly and change them slowly – success always leaves clues so I delved a little deeper. I reflected back to a time when I was building my first dream home – as an owner builder there are many daily decisions to be made – I loved this process yet I heard many others who did not enjoy the building process – making decisions quickly, at that time was not an issue as I had a clear vision of what I wanted to achieve and that allowed me to be decisive.
My conclusion to this little exercise is when I have a clear vision of what I am wanting to achieve I make decision quickly and I don’t bother about the second guessing game as I know what I want and I am determined to achieve it.
If you find yourself procrastinating or second guessing yourself, it may be you are not crystal clear about what you want.
What do you think?
