One evening, an elderly
cherokee brave told his
grandson about a battle that
goes on inside people.
he said “my son, the battle is
between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
one is evil. it is anger,
envy, jealousy, sorrow,
regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment,
inferiority, lies, false pride,
superiority, and ego.
the other is good.
it is joy, peace love, hope serenity,
humility, kindness, benevolence,
truth, compassion and faith.”
the grandson though about
it for a minute and then asked
“which wolf wins?…”
the old cherokee simply replied,
“the one that you feed”
This is such a powerful reminder that we have a choice – every day – those 2 wolves are present – and we have a choice to feed the fear and anger, the what if’s, or we can discipline our mind and feed the love, joy, humility, kindness.
Tips to feed the “ good” wolf-
Visualise – focus on what you want – no matter how impossible it may seem. – If you can imagine it – it is possible.
Random acts of kindness – thinking about others and showing selflessness will lift your vibration and take the focus of your negative thoughts.
Gratitude – there is always something to be grateful for, always. Get in the habit of writing 10 gratitude’s down every day.
Journal – what is really bothering you – get it out on paper and stop it whirling around in your head.
Surround yourself with positivity – try a media fast – no negative shows, no news, choose positive social media sites etc. that up lift.
Move your body – yoga, walk, gym, run, bush walk – get out in nature.
When you create the above as habits – you will dramatically lift your vibration and begin to see your life moving in the direction you want it go.
