Does Fear Prevent You From Achieving Your Dreams

I speak to a lot of people who share with me a version                          thCAG3RCTY

of their dream life and what they would love to achieve, however they wont take the next step to realising it. Why is that? short answer – Fear!.

I know it can be scary to step outside of your comfort zone, outside what you are use to, however you must realise that is the place you have to go if you really want the dream life you talk about. I love this quote by one of the leaders in the company I partner with “ ” you are either uncomfortable creating what you don’t want or uncomfortable stretching to create what you do want”. What I do know is when we find the courage to take the next step the universe rushes in and offers us support. The mistake people often make is thinking they have to take huge steps, not so, Everest is conquered one step at a time.

I am also reminded of Marianna Williamsons words “It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us ” . We can be more afraid of our success than we realise. We have lived with a global mindset that ‘Life is hard and we must work hard for a living” so we have come to expect “ hard”, it doesn’t have to be that way. Our times are changing and what is possible now is mind blowing, which is a good thing as it is our minds that need a little blowing if we are to truly live the life of our dreams.

I encourage you today to take just one step towards your dreams and tomorrow take another, or will you let fear prevent you?

  1. Hi there,

I heard a most profound quote this past week that has really stuck with me. Its “Discomfort Creates Growth.” There is always fear when going into the unknown. As a Practitioner for Emotional Health, Naturally……I use simple botanicals that can turn fear around for us and bring out our shining star. I do believe fear can hold us back, but once we get over the particular hump, there is usually the rainbow on the other side!

    1. Love that statement Discomfort Creates Growth. I use to be one of those people that would retreat as soon as I started to feel discomfort, now I know it is a great sign of me moving forward and making the changes to live a fuller life. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I love this posting. I had to come to terms with this myself. Being held accountable is not always easy. I think for me it was a fear of failing in something new because of the negative things that were fed to me early on in life. This is really great!!
