The Power of Gratitude

I have had a beautiful reminder of the power of gratitude recently by reading Rhonda Byrnes (The Secret– Fame) latest book called Magic.

I love how things cross my path just at the right time. I had gotten off track a little by worrying about some money stuff and of course worry doesn’t help anything, in fact it does the opposite it actually creates more of what I don’t want. Rhonda’s book has some beautiful practises of gratitude in it and it was just what I needed. This book was like a gentle angelic shake reminding me I was veering away from what I wanted to be creating.

Through working with the practises in the book I realised how far off track I had gone. As a rule I am an extremely grateful person, I am prosperous in my thinking and I have learned not to sweat the little stuff (well mostly) however there were some thoughts of lack going on in my mind and it was wonderful to have a reminder that I could turn this around by simply focusing on what I am grateful for. Within days of me focusing on what I was grateful for things began to shift. Ideas came to me that could move things in the financial area and as I acted on them more and more areas opened up and more and more inspired ideas came in.

It’s been 10 days since I had my gratitude check and I am in a completely different space. I am now in a place of blissful gratitude and my outer reality is aligning with my inner space.

It is a simple yet profound habit to form, which will change your entire outlook. What are you grateful for in your life, right now?

  1. Good for you, Kym! I had a similar experience myself recently.

I was reminded of a message I received from Spirit explaining how gratitude works. It is here on my website; http://www.theguidewithin.org/gratitude.html.

It says, in part: “Your gratitude for your present circumstances, relationships and situations ensures that you have identified the key vibration that signals your particular form of joy…Gratitude serves as the chemical/emotional/spiritual catalyst to your joy…Simply by giving thanks for everything, without exception, you connect with your inner Godly mind and your personal signal for joy. That feeling, that signal, is your passport to the joy you were created to feel, always.”

I love this idea! Gratitude is our catalyst for joy! Thanks for the opportunity to remember!

    1. I love that,” Gratitude – our catalyst and passport to joy!” thank you for sharing. It is also lovely to connect with you, I will check out your site. Abundant blessings, Kym

  3. It is very easy to lose focus when your mind starts to ponder about the things we do not see. I think this is an easy trap for many. The moment I find myself drifting into areas I cannot control, I begin to count my blessings. I had to learn that no matter how bad a situation may appear, if I look a little deeper I will find the good. At that very moment I am reminded about being grateful. Thanks for sharing, this really caught my attention.

  4. A Gratitude Practice is a wonderful tool. Like you, I consider myself to be pretty positive and a prosperity thinker, but if I get out of a daily practice of gratitude there is a definite energy shift and it effects everything within and around me. I even wrote a book 3 years ago to focus on gratitude and intentions because these are the ground stone from which our lives spring forth. Namaste` Kym.
